Dave Hershberger

Part-time associate PASTOR

Dave “Hersh” Hershberger has been a part of McBIC’s staff since 1997, when he became McBIC’s worship pastor. In January 2025, he began serving as a part-time associate pastor. He provides pastoral care and spiritual direction to those who are seeking it, along with developing ministry to men at McBIC.

Hersh graduated from Messiah College in 1983 with a bachelor’s in accounting and went on to receive a master’s in psychology and counseling from Shippensburg University in 1990. He also received a certificate of completion in 1996 after two years of study at the Pacific School of Worship in Langley, B.C., Canada. At Messiah, Dave worked in residence life and campus ministries, and he coached volleyball for the men’s and women’s programs, which gave him broad experience in team building and leadership development. He has a continued passion for developing leaders and “soul care,” and he is enrolled in a program to be licensed as a spiritual director. He enjoys various music genres, playing guitar(s), being with people, growing in Christ, and sharing ministry with his wife, Bonnie!
