McBIC partners with a variety of local ministries and organizations that serve those in need throughout our community. Find where your passions and interests can help your neighbors.
McBIC’s missional communities are formed by people within our church community who are passionate about meeting specific needs in our area. If you are interested in forming a new missional community, please email our church office at admin@mcbic.org or speak to one of our pastors at the Connection Center in our front lobby on Sunday mornings.
operation Wildcat
Operation Wildcat is an organization of parents and Mechanicsburg Area School District community members who gather resources to meet material needs of students and their families in our community. Their main fundraiser is their semiannual yard sale hosted at McBIC, which has raised more than $160,000. Volunteers are needed throughout the year for a variety of projects.
Peace promise
Peace Promise assists in recovering hope and strengthening the lives of those impacted by sexual exploitation in our community. In addition to prayer, service opportunities also include advocacy, fundraising, and outreach. Volunteers can also serve through Change Purse, the fundraising arm of Peace Promise.
Mechanicsburg Cleat Bank
The Mechanicsburg Cleat Bank was created to provide free, gently used soccer, baseball, and football cleats to youth athletes in our community. The Cleat Bank is housed at McBIC. Volunteers can help during the fall and spring sports seasons with organization and open house pick-up days. Contact Jessica Metz to get connected.
eternal hope
Eternal Hope Ministry was created for the purpose of encouraging and supporting those who are called to nursing home ministry, including those who visit the elderly who choose to stay in their own homes. one80 Ministries
One80 Ministries journeys alongside those battling homelessness, addiction, poverty, and domestic violence and acts as a bridge to local churches.
Our Father’s Hope
Our Father’s Hope is a local nonprofit that exists to care for vulnerable children in Central Pennsylvania, their families, and those tasked with caring for them. This care is accomplished through outreach initiatives like Backpacks of Hope and Naomi’s Closet of Hope.

Our Ministry Partners are local, national, and international organizations that meet a variety of needs. McBIC partners with these organizations through volunteering and financial support.
BIC u.s. world missions
BIC U.S. World Missions exists to educate and equip the Church to make disciples of Jesus Christ across cultures and around the world. Individuals, families, and church congregations can serve through short-term and long-term missions opportunities.
Church plants
McBIC serves as the host facility for two church plants. Christian Community Friends Church, Pennsylvania, is a Nepali congregation that meets at McBIC on Sunday afternoons. Iglesia Luz y Salvacion is a Spanish-speaking congregation that meets at McBIC on Sunday evenings.
Bethesda Mission
Bethesda Mission is a Harrisburg-based organization that reaches out to the poor and homeless with shelter, food, clothing, and the good news of Jesus Christ. Volunteers can serve meals at the men’s and women’s shelters, take on special projects, or serve regularly in a variety of ways.
Mission Central
Mission Central is a local non-profit that provides resources and warehouse space for disaster relief and humanitarian aid organizations. Individuals and groups can volunteer regularly or just once to help with donation inventory, maintenance, relief kit assembly, and more.
Compassion International
Compassion International is a Christian organization that seeks to alleviate child poverty around the world through child sponsorship. McBIC’s youth ministry has sponsored children through Compassion International since the early 2000s.
new hope ministries
New Hope Ministries is a Christian social service agency that shows the love and hope of Christ by serving our neighbors in times of need and supporting their efforts toward stability. Volunteers can serve in a wide variety of ways, including tutoring, transportation, food pantry organization, and more.
PA Innocence project
The mission of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project is to exonerate those convicted of crimes they did not commit, to prevent innocent people from being prosecuted and convicted, and to help those wrongfully convicted transition to freedom.
the tide
The Tide is an international Christian outreach committed to worldwide evangelism and discipleship through Christian radio broadcasts in multiple languages around the world. Volunteers can serve through administrative work, event assistance, writing, and more.
Life Choices Clinic (Capital Area Pregnancy Center)
Life Choices Clinic is a nonpolitical, Christian organization with a relational goal: to see those facing a pregnancy decision receive love, care, and support.
