Baptism and Dedication

At McBIC, parents have the opportunity to dedicate their infants and toddlers to the Lord. When elementary school kids make Jesus their personal Savior, Lord, and Friend, they are invited to celebrate through baptism.

Baptism

Jesus teaches that after you have asked for forgiveness of your sins and become His follower (or disciple), you should be baptized. Baptism shows your family, friends, and community that you have become a follower of Jesus and want to live differently.

At McBIC, we celebrate baptisms three times a year: Easter, Fourth of July weekend, and sometime in November. Any elementary child who has made Jesus their personal Savior, Lord, and Friend is welcome to be baptized. If your child has expressed interest in getting baptized, Pastor Jen would love to meet with you and your child to help you learn more about baptism and decide if your child is ready.

Child Dedication

At McBIC, we offer parents a chance to publicly declare their intent to raise their child in a way that honors God and gives their child the opportunity to have a personal relationship with Jesus. In many ways a "child dedication" is truly a "parent dedication," as parents publicly declare to raise their child in the faith until their child is old enough to make their own public statement of asking Jesus to be their Savior, Lord, and Friend.

Child dedication is held on Mother’s Day. If you are interested in participating in child dedication, Pastor Jen would love to help you discover what it truly means to dedicate your child back to God and commit to raising him or her in His Ways.
